We follow highly standardised control procedures to optimise the cooling process, using Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technologies such as StarCool® CA, XtendFRESH®, Liventus®, Maxtend® and Purfresh® to maximise shelf life.
We use dehumidification technology and vent settings to control humidity levels inside the container and allow cooler, external air to circulate. This is very important for vegetables, because fresh air helps to remove the heat and gases that these perishable goods produce, including ethylene (C2H4) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
