In recognition of International Children's Day celebrated annually on 1^st June, MSC China reaffirms its dedication to advancing children’s right and well-being. Beyond this day, the company has been actively engaging in community initiatives across the region by providing holistic care and support for the future of children.

Holistic Education for 2,800 Children in Mountainous Chongqing

For the second year in a row, MSC China has been a steadfast supporter of the Colourful Future Education Project by the Chongqing Xing'an Foundation. Dedicated to fostering the holistic development of children, this initiative enhances arts, music and physical education in rural primary schools across Chongqing, China.

Through MSC’s sustained funding, the project has positively impacted over 2,800 students aged six to twelve. By supporting teachers and enriching the curriculum, MSC China has helped students tap into their creative potential, many of whom have gone on to achieve recognition in regional painting and arts competitions.

In expressing her appreciation for MSC, Ms. He Juan, Secretary General of the Chongqing Xing’an Foundation, said, “As our children living in the mountainous regions have limited access to a well-rounded education, MSC’s unwavering support has helped them realise their potential, while also making the work of our young teachers more meaningful.”

10 Years of Impact: MSC Hong Kong Supports Education for Girls and Equality Worldwide

The year 2025 marks the 10^th anniversary of the partnership between MSC Hong Kong and Plan International. In support of education for girls, gender equality, and human rights, the team has actively engaged in two of Plan International’s flagship initiatives: "Run for Girls" and "Donate a Pencil". As of 2023, these projects had benefited 22.2 million girls globally.

On behalf of Plan International, its Hong Kong CEO, Dr. Karie Siu, remarked, “Beyond our appreciation for MSC Hong Kong’s generous support over the past decade, we’re truly impressed by MSC’s corporate culture of prioritising staff engagement and volunteerism!”

MSC Taiwan Inspires Hope and Courage in Children from Underprivileged Backgrounds

In a separate initiative, MSC Taiwan brought together corporate sponsorship and employee contributions to inspire courage and hope among children from underprivileged backgrounds. The team launched a campaign to provide movie tickets for these children, featuring a film that highlights resilience and strength in the face of adversity.

Complementing their efforts to build emotional strength, MSC Taiwan also donated basketballs to support physical education in schools located in remote locations across Taiwan, contributing to the holistic development of young children.
