MSC’s ongoing commitment to performance standards and sustainability, has been formally recognised with the presentation of three ISO certifications.

Following successful recent audits, the company is now in receipt of the ISO 9001 2008 standard, the latest ISO 26000 and the 14001: 2015 standard.

MSC’s Chief Operating Officer Claudio Bozzo and Sustainability Officer Dirk Vande Velde received formal acknowledgment of the standards in a visit by the certification organisation DNV GL.

During the audit process, MSC was assessed for, among other areas, its Booking and Operations, Hospitality, Logistics, Corporate Sustainable Social Responsibility, Facilities Management, Legal and Claims Handling, Code of Conduct, Documentation, Energy Efficiency and Customer Contract Reviews.

“We have every right to feel very pleased and proud about these certifications,” said Mr Vande Velde.

“Each of the reports resulted in great feedback comments, with only a few small areas for us to continue to work on.”

He added: “The achievement of these standards is down to the collective effort of many departments and individuals throughout our business, and a genuine understanding across MSC that sustainability and operational standards are critical to our overall performance as a leading global company.”
