MSC has further expanded its presence in China with the opening of a new office in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. As the central city of the Huaihai Economic Zone, Xuzhou is a key transportation hub connecting Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui provinces. This move marks a significant milestone in MSC’s strategic growth in China, extending its reach beyond coastal ports and into inland manufacturing regions to better serve the dynamic transportation needs of its local clients.
On 18 May 2026, MSC commemorated the opening of its 33rd office in Greater China. The launch of MSC Xuzhou welcomed 70 distinguished guests, including industry stakeholders and customers.
Connecting Xuzhou’s Industrial Powerhouse to Global Markets
Xuzhou and the surrounding region serve as a production powerhouse for engineering machinery, photovoltaic goods, as well as agricultural and processed food products. As one of China’s major rail hubs, the city also plays a pivotal role in bridging these inland industries with international trade corridors.
Leveraging Xuzhou’s advanced rail infrastructure, MSC provides regular and reliable sea-rail intermodal solutions directly to Qingdao Port, seamlessly exporting these commodities to Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America with MSC’s global shipping network. Building on this strong foundation, MSC continues to broaden its inland logistics network along the Longhai–Lanxin Railway and the Yellow River Belt. This further strengthens connections between inland manufacturing centers and international markets, driving long-term business growth.
With the dedicated local office, MSC is well positioned to deliver tailored transportation solutions closely aligned with the specific requirements of the Xuzhou market.
MSC’s Continued Growth Across Greater China
Jonathan Zhu, Managing Director of MSC Greater China, noted, “Xuzhou has long been a vital market for MSC, and the opening of a dedicated office further deepens our commitment to the region. By being closer to our customers, we can collaborate more effectively to navigate today’s dynamic trade environment. Our goal is to empower local industries to expand their global reach while building the supply chain resilience for their long-term success."
Since entering Greater China in 1998, MSC has steadily grown its business across the region, establishing a robust network of offices in both coastal and inland cities. Following the recent expansion into Shenyang, Xi’an and Shijiazhuang, the launch of MSC’s 33rd office in Xuzhou underscores the company’s longstanding commitment to supporting China’s international trade.
