PCS Trade Asia to USEC and US Gulf Coast

We would like to inform our customers of an important update affecting cargo moving from Asia to the US East Coast and Gulf Coast via the Panama Canal.
Due to operational constraints and increased costs associated with Panama Canal transit, and in order to maintain the reliability and quality of our services, MSC will introduce a Panama Canal Surcharge (PCS) to shipments between Southeast Asia, China, Korea and Japan to US East Coast and US Gulf Coast.
As from 19 August 2026 (gate in date) until further notice, the PCS will be charged at USD 100 per TEU, applicable to all cargo types.
