One of the largest seafood traders in the world, China’s seafood imports from January to July 2023 increased by a tremendous 14.7% to USD14.14 billion as compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, China has also become a major seafood buyer of many countries around the world including Japan, South Korea and Norway1. As the world’s largest container shipping and logistics company that’s also backed by one of the biggest and most advanced reefer fleets globally, MSC is participating in the 26th China Fisheries and Seafood Expo (CFSE 2023) from 25 to 27 Oct in Qingdao, China.
